About Viridis Australia - Mould testing, assessments, analysis, diagnosis

Actions, Products and Services

Viridis provides specialist advice and management services to help diagnose and resolve health issues for occupants in buildings and the environment more generally.  This can include optimising building energy performance to improve occupant comfort, right through to assessing the exposure to potential toxins and determining what needs to be done to make spaces healthier. Viridis may be engaged directly by a building owner or occupant, or through an intermediary such as a project manager, builder, architect, insurance advisor, or property manager.

Viridis has strong and active working relationships with organisations that align with our purpose and values. These relationships exist for the mutual benefit, enabling each to expand service offerings to give clients better results.

Our purpose and goals

Viridis’ purpose is to improve the environment that we share, by implementing sustainable solutions for enduring prosperity.

We assist organisations to improve the health of their buildings, their activities, and their environment more generally. Our overall goal is to have a positive and meaningful impact on every project we are involved in, with a deliberate intent to work with clients in many sectors. As such, Viridis has been involved in projects ranging from energy efficiency in commercial buildings and water resources in schools, to food waste benchmarking in supermarkets, and indoor environmental health in the homes of Australia’s older residents.  We define environmental health on a holistic basis, extending beyond just a person’s or building’s general vital signs, and look at the bigger picture.

More specific goals include:

  • To continue extending our reach to projects beyond the built environment industry;
  • To continue to work in all parts of Australia, and extend internationally;
  • To continue to work with clients from all levels of society, including those who are less privileged.
  • To continually grow our team’s expertise and experience so that we can continue to achieve and exceed our goals.

Our passion, commitment and expertise ensure we consistently deliver outcomes that exceed our clients’ expectations.

Involvement in social and environmental causes

Viridis operations has an acute awareness of social and environmental causes, and have policies in place to ensure that the work we engage in does not involve increases in negative products (e.g. weapons, alcohol, tobacco, people-trafficking, pornography, or the nuclear industry). Viridis also commits to being involved in positive products and services (e.g. renewable energy, affordable housing, public transportation, pollution and waste management, animal welfare, or promotion of the arts and sciences).

As an organisation, Viridis aims to be a net positive contributor to the environment and society, moving beyond simply reducing its negative impacts to a position where it restores and adds back to the environment and society, more than it consumes in its operations. As well as being an active supporter of the ILFI’s JUST Label, Viridis strives to regularly update our GRI report (Global Reporting Initiative). Our involvement in social and environmental causes is not only limited to typical work operations, as Viridis staff are encouraged to undertake other direct-action initiatives, such as ‘home-grown-organic-food’, outreach program to schools, providing guidance to families affected by natural disasters such as flooding, or sharing a meal with a homeless person.

We aim to enable the varying interests of individual staff members to educate others on these initiatives, with the expectation this may provide inspiration for future initiatives.
