Christine Dewar


With eleven years’ experience in commercial environmental consulting, Christine brings a huge diversity and portfolio to Viridis. Spanning extensive Natural and Built Environment projects, Christine has strong experience in contaminated land, water, buildings and workplaces. Frequently asked for expert opinion on legal matters, Christine has high level understanding of the regulatory framework and associated requirements clients face in their workplace challenges, She undertakes high level technical projects where complex analyses are required, and offers support to the Indoor Environment and Workplace Hygiene areas of the business. She is also completing an owner-build of her own sustainably designed property expansion

  • HMAS Harman
    Contaminated Land Investigation
    January 2012 – April 2013
     Conducted in depth contaminated land investigation ahead of expansion plans for the HMAS Harman Defense base in Canberra. Sampling of soil was conducted in accordance with the Assessment of Site Contamination NEPM with analysis for  asbestos, hydrocarbons and heavy metals. A report of the findings was provided to the client with recommendations for remediation of areas with sample results above acceptable land use values.
  • FL Smidth – Workplace Exposure Monitoring Campaign
     Conducted testing around a range of chemicals used in the workplace to ensure safety of workers. Devised sampling plan for complex array of chemicals used in production across a large number of Separate Exposure Groups.
